Ireland's known as the Emerald Isle, but this County Clare site is green in more ways than one…
Eco Camping Glamping is a peaceful park three kilometres from seaside strolls along the wild west coast. Head to this off-grid, eco-conscious site to wake up to views of green fields, native trees and wildflower meadows. All the power here is supplied by renewable sources, including the handy charging points where you can juice up your gadgets. There's also an organic smallholding on site, meaning that the folk that run this place are well-placed to supply you with healthy goodies like free-range eggs and fresh salad.
The surrounding landscape is pleasant and gentle indeed, but more dramatic views are just around the corner. Head to the coast (five minutes’ drive) to join the Wild Atlantic Way – highlights along this well-trodden trail include the Cliffs of Moher, Spanish Point and the lush Loop Head Peninsula.
Eco Camping Glamping is close to Miltown Malbay – so close, in fact, that this town's food shops, bars and pubs can all be reached within a five-minute walk. This place is known as 'the home of traditional Irish music', so a toe-tapping pint or two at a local live music night should certainly be on the cards during your stay.
